Volunteers Survey

CLARE CIC recognises and values the positive impact volunteering has on lives and communities.  CLARE Community Champions make an amazing contribution to helping others and we would encourage all volunteers to take the opportunity follow the link below and complete the short survey on behalf of Department for Social Development.

Calling All Volunteers – Can You Spare A Few Minutes?

If you have volunteered your time and energy, you can help with the Department for Social Development’s 2016 NI Survey of Volunteers.  This short survey seeks to explore the levels of volunteering in Northern Ireland, the support given to volunteers, together with the backgrounds of people who volunteer throughout Northern Ireland.

The survey is totally anonymous.

Responses will be used to improve the accessibility of volunteering activities.

The aim is to ensure that volunteering opportunities are open to everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, dependent status, marital status, politicial opinion or where they live.

You may receive the link to this survey from a number of organisations, so if you have already completed it, thank you, there is no need to complete it again.

Take the survey now:

Thank you for your help.

This survey is being carried out by the Department for Social Development’s Analytical Services Unit (ASU) on behalf of the Voluntary and Community Unit (VCU), and will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Community Champion Art Befriender

CLARE is actively recruiting volunteers interested in becoming arts and crafts befrienders.

We have been successful in the recent Take 5 small grants awards supported by Public Health Agency and the Clear Project to deliver a creative crafts befriending project.

If you are a caring, enthusiastic person with an interest in arts and crafts then we need your help to bring the joy of art to isolated older people.  You will be trained in art facilitation skills and matched to an older person living in North Belfast to deliver one to one art’s befriending sessions.

Becoming a Community Champion Art Befriender you will have the opportunity to

  • Develop your skills in art facilitation through professional training
  • Meet other volunteers and build friendships
  • Gain valuable volunteering experience to enhance your personal development
  • Make a real difference to the life of an isolated older person

CLARE values and appreciates the vital contribution volunteers make to our communities and you will be fully supported throughout your volunteering journey.

Make a difference today.  Become a CLARE Community Champion Art Befriender.
