Community Champion Art Befriender
CLARE is actively recruiting volunteers interested in becoming arts and crafts befrienders.
We have been successful in the recent Take 5 small grants awards supported by Public Health Agency and the Clear Project to deliver a creative crafts befriending project.
If you are a caring, enthusiastic person with an interest in arts and crafts then we need your help to bring the joy of art to isolated older people. You will be trained in art facilitation skills and matched to an older person living in North Belfast to deliver one to one art’s befriending sessions.
Becoming a Community Champion Art Befriender you will have the opportunity to
- Develop your skills in art facilitation through professional training
- Meet other volunteers and build friendships
- Gain valuable volunteering experience to enhance your personal development
- Make a real difference to the life of an isolated older person
